Using solar hot water is harder for businesses
While people realize that using fossil fuels to power homes and vehicles is bad for the environment most of us don't have any choice. Fundamentally changing a home's energy source or buying a new electric powered car isn't an option for most people. Businesses are usually in the same position and while certain things used in business can damage the environment it can take time and money to overhaul an entire operation. Many companies rely on propane and other gases to run machinery and there are lots of third party companies that supply fuels made from gas and oil which can be ordered online. These are necessary evils to power machinery and industry would probably fail in most countries if it wasn't supplied with gas or abrasives.
Getting solar hot water isn't as easy as simply turning on a tap and people need to spend money if they want to make a difference to the environment. The good news is that when a system has been installed which allows a house to harness the power of the sun, utility bills should drop sharply. This is because energy is no longer needed from an electric company and a house can be partly or wholly powered by the heat of the sun. Unfortunately for a business to implement such a power source it would cost far too much. Businesses rely on energy sapping machinery and at the moment it's more economically feasible for these power hungry machines to be run by gas.
