It is imperative for all travellers to take necessary steps to make sure that their homes are kept safe from household fires while they are on a holiday. For this, they should see to it that all their electrical appliances are turned off and unplugged. Aside from that, their kitchen equipment should also be free from even the smallest leakage. Moreover, as their absence could mean delays in the response to fight against a fire, they should also install fire and smoke alarms with sounds that are strong enough to alert the next few houses.
